This website has been developed by staff of the Legal Information Access Centre (LIAC), State Library of NSW.
It provides access to useful, current and easy to understand information about the law in NSW for:
◾members of the community wanting information about a legal problem or issue
◾HSC legal studies students and teachers
It also provides legal information in many community languages, and has a dedicated section of the website for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
The Find Legal Answers subject pathway lists key resources, organised by topic, that are available online and in print. The subject pathway uses a five-step framework for presenting legal information, from introductory or simple summaries of the topic followed by resources with more detailed explanations and commentary, as well as relevant legislation and links to legal agencies that provide free legal advice.
Resources are selected and regularly reviewed by specialist librarians at LIAC, State Library of NSW. All resources are freely available on the web, in public libraries across NSW or in the State Library of NSW
