New library now opening 10am 1 May 2017 – closing Monday 24 April 6pm

Armidale’s new library building will now be opening for full operations on 1 May 2017.

Work scheduling has necessitated this change, however the public are still invited to inspect the interior of the new building between 10am and 2pm on the originally scheduled opening day of 24 April.

The new library’s address is 2/182 Rusden Street.

The current Library (at 122 Faulkner Street) will be open at the following times over the next fortnight

  • 10am-6pm on these days
    • Thursday 13 April
    • Tuesday 18 April
    • Wednesday 19 April
    • Thursday 20 April
    • Friday 21 April
    • Monday 24 April
  • 10am-1pm on this day
    • Saturday 22 April

 

The old library will be closed at 6pm on Monday 24 April and removalists will transport its contents to 182 Rusden Street.

The new library will reopen at 10am on Monday 1 May.

Books can be returned while the library is closed through the chute in the front door of the old library at anytime up to 6pm on Thursday 27 April. After that time there will be a similar chute opening available in the front wall of the new library at 182 Rusden Street.
