Thanks to the energy and courtesy of Auburn Library’s Digital Hub staff (and the power and speed of the National Broadband Network) Armidale Library is able to transmit an address – made in Sydney – to a screen in Armidale Library for the benefit of any locals who are interested.
The Library will open early on 15 October, so that everyone can be seated ready to hear an employee of the Department of Family and Community Services talking on disability services (this coincides with Carers Week) from 10am that Wednesday.
The talk is free, video-conferenced to other public libraries in NSW and participants at all locations will be able to ask questions.
We hope that the talk will go as well as testing has shown it can, because there will be continuing opportunities for such events, including talks from Diabetes Australia in November, the National Museum’s Robot Program over Christmas holidays, the RSPCA on dog safety in February and Alzheimer’s Australia in March. Stay tuned for more news as it arises…
