Telecommunications in Armidale – an invite for the public

Date: Thursday 4 July 2013
Time: 10:30am
Where: The library

The Telstra Museum is bringing a Testra Historian and some very early telecommunications equipment to Armidale.

The tour is part of our project where we are travelling across regional NSW asking locals for their memories, information, photos  and history about the early telecommunications in their town/area. This information will help us continue to add to the history of telecommunications in Australia, to contribute to the NSW Telecommunication Museum.

The Telstra Museum contains items developed and used across Australia as part of the Postmaster-General’s (PMG) Department, Telecom and Telstra, and is a valuable and rich resource for the Australian public
