Once again Armidale Library is participating in the collection of knitted squares for Wrap with Love. Now in its 21st year Wrap with Love grew from an idea of Sonia Gidley-King that all the left-over wool could be used to knit 25x25cm squares which when sewn together make a warm blanket for someone in the world who is shivering unnecessarily through the winter. With the help of knitters all over the country, Wrap with Love creates and distributes over 30000 hand-knitted blankets a year.More information can be found at the libraryor at the Wrap with Love website. The knitting pattern is also available on line, or at the Library.
When you have completed your squares just drop them into the library.
The knitting group meets every Friday at 10am in the library for a few hours of knitting and chatting. So if you want to knit with friends or need a bit of help or inspiration why knot come and join them!
Thanks for knitting.
